December Newsletter from the MSPA President John Farrell Dear MSPA Members, Since our last newsletter MSPA Europe has been working hard to provide you our Members with even better services. In particular an improved website, new training courses, the translation of the MSPA Guidelines into more European languages – in is now available in 32 languages - and of course the 2009 MSPA Europe Conference. Updates of this work appear elsewhere in this newsletter. We are already well into the process of planning the 2009 Conference in Lisbon and we will be publishing details of the programme in January. Please put the dates, 27 -29th May 2009, into your diaries now! We are about to send out the annual Member Survey which is the main way that we get feedback and ideas from you our members. This year’s survey will be addressing issues that are of interest and importance to all members and I urge you to take the time to complete and have your say. Another way for you to express your views is in this newsletter and in the next edition we hope to include more contributions from members. Please send any articles, letters or news to europe@mysteryshop.org Congratulations go to MSPA Europe’s founding President Veronica Boxberg Karlsson who has been appointed to the Chair of the MSPA Global Board from January 2009. We wish Veronica well and good luck in this exciting role. Finally please be aware of scams involving bogus mystery shopping companies seeking to defraud shoppers. Details of a recent scam are included in this newsletter. If you hear of any such scams please let us know and we will inform all members. And so, as 2008 draws to a close, may I wish you, your colleagues and families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year John Farrell President-MSPA Europe
